I used Tatcha Skincare for a Week and This is What Happened

After receiving a Sephora gift card for graduation I had the opportunity to splurge a little! I knew I wanted to get a skincare set rather than makeup because my skin has been a priority of mine this summer. After hearing nothing but good things about the luxurious Tatcha skincare brand, I was drawn to purchasing their Bestsellers Set. I then felt a little risky and purchased 3 more products on Tatcha’s website. I decided to get a mini size of the Silk Cream, the Violet-C Radiance Mask, and the Deep Cleanse. I then tested out these products, and only these products, on my face for one week to see the results. Although I am aware it takes more than a week for your skin to adjust to new products, I felt that I learned a lot about what my skin needed in this time.

Bestsellers Set

Let’s start off with the Bestsellers set. This set includes mini versions of the Camellia Cleansing Oil, Rice Polish, Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, and infamous Water Cream. The Camellia Cleansing Oil didn’t necessarily immediately impress me, but I soon found out that cleansing oils work great for dry skin. If you have this same dry skin issue as me, then I would definitely look into cleansing oils. This Tatcha one worked great for me and also removed my makeup completely. The Rice Polish was a super fine exfoliant that worked perfectly by not making the skin feel super dry or tight. I thought it was very gentle and felt nice on the skin. The Luminous Dewy Skin mist was just an average face mist to me. It did feel nice on the skin, but it is not a product I would repurchase. Finally, the Water Cream also did not feel like a product that was worth purchasing again. I was surprised about this one because I thought I would love it. It left my skin feeling a bit sticky and I didn’t think it was worth the hype.

The Deep Cleanse

Next up, I tried out the Deep Cleanse. With this being rated so well I was excited to try it out! Since my skin leans more toward the dry side, this product may have not been the best for me. It tended to make my skin more dry and I preferred using the Camellia Cleansing Oil more. The Violet-C Radiance Mask was hands down a life changer! I absolutely LOVE this mask and will definitely continue to use it. My skin looks insanely glowy and radiant in the morning every time after I use this. Lastly, I used the Silk Cream at night and found it to be hydrating. It was a bit sticky, like the Water Cream, but felt a little thicker.

After a Week of Using Tatcha:

From these pictures and my experience, my skin slightly improved. I noticed that my redness went down and my breakouts did reduce. The results weren’t drastic, but I was a bit impressed with how my skin felt.

All in all, there are some Tatcha products I fell in love with, and some that fell just short of my expectations.
